On October 13, 2024, with just 6 months milestone to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan opens, Sumitomo Group announced new information on the immersive experience awaiting visitors to the Sumitomo Pavilion.
Through a long-lasting relationship with the forest, Sumitomo nurtures the diverse values it brings to the world. This is where you will see and hear what was previously concealed as you immerse yourself in the story of life and experience it as never before. Within this unique forest, the wisdom of the ages is revealed as visitors walk along paths illuminated by their handheld lanterns. They are on an interactive journey of light and sound into the story of life. An unforgettable encounter with the UNKNOWN.
After the forest experience, visitors will be greeted by a “performing theater” approximately 20m wide x 7.5m high. The wind and fog will in the space will speak to the visitorsʼ senses and the dynamic production that fuses the multi-layered screen with music and people, will lead to the grand finale of the UNKNOWN FOREST.
