EXPO School Caravan brings excitement to Takasu Junior High School, Urayasu City

On December 13, 2024, Takatsu Junior High School in Urayasu City became the latest stop for the Expo School Caravan, an educational initiative leading up to Expo 2025. Mr. Hirofumi Saijo, Secretary General of the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee, delivered an engaging class that brought the excitement and vision of the Expo to life for the students.

The EXPO School Caravan, a project of the Secretariat of the Headquarters for the World Expo, Cabinet Secretariat, aims to use Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (Expo 2025) as a springboard for children and students across Japan to explore ideas about the society of the future and inspire actions that will shape it.

Theme producers, senior advisors, and exhibitors and sponsors of Expo 2025 will conduct classes and lectures on the SDGs and related topics at over 200 elementary, junior high, high, and special needs schools across Japan.

In this presentation, the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee provided an overview of Expo 2025, highlighting the significance, objectives and contents of the Sumitomo Pavilion.
