On January 14, 2025, the Expo School Caravan called at Higashi Junior High School in Yoshikawa City, Saitama Prefecture, where it continued its mission of engaging the hearts and minds of students ahead of Expo 2025. Mr. Tomoshi Kurauchi, staff of the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee, captivated the students with a dynamic presentation, expressing the possibilities and energy inherent in the upcoming Expo.
The EXPO School Caravan is an initiative led by the Secretariat of the Headquarters for the World Expo, Cabinet Secretariat, designed to use Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (Expo 2025) as a opportunity for children and students nationwide to envision the future society and consider how they can help shape it for the benefit of everyone.
In this presentation, the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee offered an overview of Expo 2025 from the perspective of an exhibitor, explaining the purpose, goals, and details of the Sumitomo Pavilion.
The junior high school students asked many questions, such as “What does the word ‘pavilion’ mean?”, “Are the lanterns made of copper?”, and “How many visitors from overseas are expected?”
The Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee will be holding eight classes during the EXPO School Caravan.
