The EXPO School Caravan, organized by the Secretariat of the Headquarters for the World Expo within the Cabinet Secretariat, aims to inspire children and students across Japan to reflect on the future of society. Using Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (Expo 2025) as a catalyst, the program encourages young minds to explore their role in shaping a better tomorrow.

During the session, the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee, from the vantage point of an exhibitor at Expo 2025, provided insights into the event’s overarching vision. They highlighted the significance of the Sumitomo Group’s involvement, offering a compelling preview of the Sumitomo Pavilion.

In the session, the focus was on how dynamic collaboration between Sumitomo Group companies and partners will lead to a stunning exhibition at the Sumitomo Pavilion, demonstrating the power of innovation and teamwork.

In the second half of the class, there were plenty of thought-provoking questions from the students. Here’s a sampling: “Why will Sumitomo plant 10,000 trees?” “You said we must ‘value life,’ but doesn’t cutting down trees mean they die?” “What’s the purpose of using lanterns in terms of the visitor experience?” “Will the building be recycled?”

The Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee will be holding eight classes during the EXPO School Caravan.
