Press release: Expo 2025 Sumitomo Pavilion Seeds for The Future

“Seeds for The Future” is a participatory co-creation project centered on a web platform that allows anyone to generate and develop ideas—seeds for the future—using the technologies and initiatives of Sumitomo Group companies. The dedicated website also features a function for sharing these ideas with people around the world.

During the Expo, the Sumitomo Pavilion will showcase the cutting-edge technologies and initiatives of Sumitomo Group companies, along with actual product exhibits. Additionally, “Seeds for The Future”—ideas inspired by these innovations—will be on display.
“Seeds for The Future” aims to connect the technologies and initiatives of Sumitomo Group companies
to the creation of a prosperous future society.

The “Seeds for The Future” database integrates more than 700 cutting-edge technologies and initiatives from Sumitomo Group. During the Expo, participants can generate various “Seeds for The Future”—ideas to enrich the future—simply by selecting keywords on a special website powered by generative AI.

The “Seeds for The Future” project was made possible through collaborative co-creation involving the Sumitomo Pavilion, Chizaizukan Inc., Konel Inc., and 1→10, Inc.

As a legacy measure, after the Expo concludes, the ideas created in this project, along with information on Sumitomo Group’s technologies and initiatives that inspired them, will be archived on the Sumitomo Group website and shared with the world as ideas for all of humanity.
