At Tourism EXPO Japan 2023 held at INTEX OSAKA from October 27 to 29, 2023, Mr. Hirofumi Saijo, Secretary-General of the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee, made a presentation on the Sumitomo Pavilion.
1,275 companies and 2,025 organizations from 70 countries and regions participated in Tourism EXPO Japan 2023, making it one of the world’s largest tourism and travel-related exhibitions. The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition had a booth and the official character MYAKU-MYAKU visited the venue during the event to help boost momentum toward Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
On October 27, 13 private-sector organizations that will have pavilions at the Expo presented their concepts. In his presentation, Mr. Saijo, Secretary-General of the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee, referred to the design philosophy of the Sumitomo Pavilion, the design concept of making extensive use of wood, and the experiences that will be offered to visitors. He expressed Sumitomo Group companies’ aspirations concerning the Expo.
