Environmentally friendly artificial turf system

This eliminates the need for rubber or resin chips, which are typically used in combination as cushioning. As a result, when used outdoors, there is no risk of chip material washing away due to rain or snow. In recent years, this system has been increasingly adopted from the perspective of biodiversity conservation. The turf can be used both indoors or outdoors, providing a safe and cushioned surface without concerns about stains or odors from chip materials. It is widely used in nursery schools, kindergartens, elementary schools, and junior high schools. Hibrid-Turf EVO., an environmentally friendly artificial turf system, has been installed in part of the UNKNOWN FOREST, the centerpiece of the Sumitomo Pavilion. To complement the pavilion’s design and usage conditions, the turf was custom-made with a subdued tone, rather than the bright yellow-green typically used in sports settings. Since launching its sand-filled artificial turf 40 years ago, Sumitomo Rubber Industries has continually expanded its offerings to meet user needs and societal demands.
