Keynote Presentation by Mr. Hirofumi Saijo, Secretary-General of the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee, at Tokushima SDGs Forum

On March 6, 2024, at the invitation of Tokushima Prefecture, Mr. Hirofumi Saijo, Secretary-General of the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee, made a keynote presentation at Tokushima SDGs Forum.

With approximately 100 people participating, Tokushima SDGs Forum was designed to enhance the momentum of engagement in SDGs initiatives throughout Tokushima Prefecture. To reach a large audience, the event was also livestreamed on YouTube.

At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, Tokushima Prefecture will be one of nine prefectures participating as exhibitors at the Kansai Pavilion, the others being Shiga, Kyoto, Hyogo, Nara, Wakayama, Tottori, Fukui, and Mie. Representing the Sumitomo Pavilion, the Sumitomo EXPO2025 Promotion Committee was requested to give a presentation spurring momentum in the runup to EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai Japan.

In his presentation, Mr. Saijo focused on the significance and objectives of the Sumitomo Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, including linkage of its theme to the SDGs, while also providing an overview of the Sumitomo Pavilion and touching on Sumitomo’s history and business philosophy.
